For the last 32 years, I have been lucky to have someone by my side who does whatever he can to make mine—our—dreams come true. With our 25th anniversary approaching, Eric did what he always does: he went straight to my 50-by-50 bucket list to see what he could check off next. And this time, he found the perfect weekend getaway.

Seeing a show at The Sphere had been on my list for a while. I’m not a Vegas person by any stretch, but there was something about this super-cool, futuristic venue that intrigued me. I knew The Wizard of Oz experience would almost certainly make me nauseous, and I had zero desire to see the Backstreet Boys. Eric, however, found the perfect compromise.
Zac Brown Band.
I had already seen Zac Brown Band three times before, so the idea of seeing them again—but at the Sphere—felt like the ideal blend of familiar and new. I was excited to see what they could do with a space that isn’t just a venue, but an experience in itself.

From the moment the show began, it was clear this wasn’t a typical concert. The visuals wrapped completely around us, turning the music into something almost cinematic. At times, it felt like we were inside a story rather than watching it unfold on a stage. The Sphere’s technology elevated everything—the lighting, the imagery, even the emotion of the songs—without overpowering the band itself.
Zac Brown Band struck the perfect balance between showcasing new material and delivering the songs everyone loves. The concert, with the music told a story. The crowd sang along, but there were also moments where people simply sat back in awe, taking in the scale of it all. The sound was crystal clear, and immersive without being overwhelming.
What made the night even more special was knowing this experience came from someone who truly listens—to my hopes, my lists, and the little dreams I casually mention and forget about.
As the night wound down, one moment stayed with me more than any other. When Zac Brown Band eased from Free straight into Into the Mystic, it felt as though time slowed for just a few minutes. Sitting there together, surrounded by the music and light, the meaning of those songs landed differently than it ever had before. Free reflected the life we’ve built, the years of choosing each other again and again, while Into the Mystic felt like a gentle nod to everything still ahead. Having celebrated our 25th anniversary this week, it was a quiet, perfect reminder of how lucky I am to experience moments like this—with the same person who has been by my side for 32 years, still finding new ways to make dreams come true.
