Bucket List #26 – Have Sarah Teach Me How to Make a TikTok

During the pandemic, TikTok became a thing. Back then, the kids were just 16, and Sarah especially loved making TikToks. It’s the theater kid in her!

With all of the adventures I’ve been taking this year, I wanted another fun way to document these moments. I’ve made a TikTok or two, but nothing too involved. I wanted Sarah to teach me how to make one with transitions and just how to use the app better in general.

In July, Sarah came home so we could go to the Noah Kahan concert together. We decided the best way for me to learn was to just jump in and give it a try! We started out in our regular clothes and then did a transition into our concert “fits.” It took a little practice (and probably a little patience on Sarah’s part), but we did it!

Once I had that under my belt, I felt confident enough to start experimenting on my own. I learned how to add text, pictures, and videos to create TikToks documenting my Camino de Santiago experience.

Will I ever become a TikTok influencer? Highly unlikely! But I learned something new, found another fun way to document my adventures, and got to spend some quality time with Sarah in the process.

Another bucket list item checked off!

And since this one is all about videos, I’ll let the TikToks speak for themselves!
